this is a prototype bag that i made with an image in my head that worked itself out in fabric. it has a few goofs, but overall is a pretty decent bag (if i do say so, myself). anyhoo, this bag features neptune fabric from moda and has two pockets inside. it measures approx. 12" x 12" with a 36" strap. if you would like this bag to come your way, just leave a comment and i'll draw a random winner next monday morning. good luck!

weekend getaway

we were able to make it up to indianapolis this weekend to hang out with josh & kim. thanks for having us, you guys! we had a blast! we went to the children's museum (it's a must) and the kids had a fabulous time. this time, we played in the science section, rode the carousel (except for koa - he says it makes him too dizzy), and visited wenu-hotep (the resident mummy). the kids love to visit wenu-hotep and are excited to come back in september to see the tutankhamon exhibit. can't wait!! i just might get some ideas for what i want to be buried with..... besides being buried in a vintage mini cooper, of course - james and i can be buried together that way - there'll be just enough room for the two of us.

makin' memories

james' parents came for a visit and we had a full itinerary - we were able to pick strawberries, make jam, play outside, attend kalei's awards ceremony, go to the park, celebrate kawelo's birthday, go to a minor league baseball game, go to nashville, check on the various birds' nests, and they even helped us paint the fence! whew! they came to relax after their working vacation in utah and i think we wore them out. sorry! we had such a great time and are so thankful for the time that the kids go to spend with their hawaii grandparents. thanks so much for coming to visit!!
