the kids are in school! kalei is enjoying school so far, but mostly tells us about recess when she gets home. her teacher hasn't split the class into groups based on academic level, yet. i'm hoping she'll do this very soon so kalei can get her brain challenged. although, she seems to be having a great time at recess, and has figured out the intricacies of jumping rope - useful!
koa is loving his preschool! we're much more relaxed about it this time around (he's going to the same place kalei went), and were better able to prepare him. he's picked up on the school rules and told me all about how no one is allowed to run in school, only outside. hello? can we apply that to home as well? he's only been hearing that for.... let's see.... three years! one day at school and he's got it ingrained in his brain. i have got to ask ms. patterson what her trick is!
only two years till kawelo is in preschool, and three years till he's in kindergarten. where in the world does the time go?!

I can't believe you started school already! Jake doesn't start for another week and a half. I love the first day of school excitement. Too bad it doesn't last all year long!
Wow koa is already in preschool! I bet he's loving being a big boy going to school like Kalei. Anela tends to tell me about their break time too - but can't for the life of her remember what they didn't in school for the rest of the time she was there.:)

I remember well the days when I had thoughts like yours.. "in two years my baby will start school".. now she's in kindergarten.. I feel lost.. the house is SO quiet in the morning! You wait.. your time will come before you know it!! :)
