for sherri

here are two quilt tops that are waiting for batting, backing, and binding. (oooo, that rolls off the tongue!) i still can't decide what to do for the backings, so if you have an idea, please feel free to share! this top quilt will be a throw for the living room:

and this little one will be quilted in wavy/water-looking lines and will hang over our bed:

the only hold-up here is their backings, so please feel free to share your inspiration with me - i'll even show the finished items and credit you with your brilliance! put those thinking caps on! (i think mine's batteries are dead.)

Girlfriend -I have to say I am impressed with your talent!!!!!!!!!! Why knew you would turn out so well? LOL

On the first quilt, I would either go with blue that matches the third square from the left on the bottom of the quilt or a medium aqua. On the second quilt, I would go with aqua. Let me share my rationale..... because quilts last for decades, trendy colors can relegate a quilt to the bottom of the box. Of course, that does wonders for preserving the thing! I am just naturally cautious of trends because of my profession.

Having said that, if I was selecting the perfect color for you, I would go with one of the fun greens on the first quilt. No doubt about it.

My pin cushion is the very first pin cushion I have ever owned and I LOVE IT! Thanks, sweetie! That was quite a lovely surprise! The bag is awesome! I marvel at your patience....

Love ya!
